It doesn’t take a student of psychology or sociology very long in their jour to a major or degree to realize that we’re swimming in some very toxic waters and embracing a consciousness (the entire world, not just the gold old US of A) that cannot continue if we as people on this planet want to continue. Unfortunately, what’s called the PRESS, only want to highlight the traumatic as it’s what SELLS: meaning profits for them and misery for you and I.
This toxic consciousness is manifesting as negative energy, religious prejudice, external emphases, and antiquated power grabs, and guilt-laden thinking.
The old power guards only want to INCREASE their own power bases in order to perpetuate their selfish agendas. On the more dark side we find Putin, Chavez, Ahmadinejad, Kim Jong-il, and on the lighter side we find Barack Obama, Gordon Brown, and Nicolas Sarkozy. I say none of this from any political persuasion. It’s the ancient adage and truth that, “Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.”
A concept such as surrendering to the unconditional love that underlies the Cosmos, and thus planet earth, is simply is not on their radar screen.
If it’s not Ahmadinejad threatening to wipe Israel from the face of the earth, it’s KimJong-il sabre-rattling and threatening nuclear war. North Korea may fire a long-range ballistic missile toward Hawaii in early July, a Japanese news report said Thursday, as Russia and China urged the regime to return to international disarmament talks on its rogue nuclear program. Does anyone think that North Korea wants to return to the bargaining table except for some financial incentives and then they’ll go back to sabre-rattling once they get more power?
Can you feel the negative energy?
We SEE the DARKER sides of a toxic consciousness, but we we’re mostly blinded by the Bush “compassionate conservative” message which basically promoted big business and of course BIG OIL. Do you remember when oil was $150 a barrel under Bush? And do you think that was accidental? We are currently blinded by the Obama “the government will save America” theme as he takes advantage of the weaknesses in various corporations (for bailouts with “strings” and complete takeover) to build a Democratic power base.
Unfortunately we need GOVERNMENT(s)! 
However, what we need most are governments run by political leaders who are selfless in their CARE for humanity, the earth, and others outside of our highly opinionated paradigms. Is it possible? Can we truly BELIEVE? The answer begins with each of us. Are WE living a life of death to our egos, or are we most interested in SELF and getting that accomplished by TRASHING everyone else who is not a member or OUR party, OUR religion, OUR ethnicity, and so on? These are tough questions; however, the solutions to the current toxic consciousness aren’t going to CHANGE with more of the same- be you a Republican or a Democrat!
